Things to Do in Prague This Weekend
A flexible two-day Prague plan with historic sights, neighbourhood walks and practical checks for this weekend’s events and reservations.
Editorial review:
Saturday: the historic centre
Start around Hradčany, descend through Malá Strana and pause on Kampa before crossing Charles Bridge. Choose either a castle interior or a long lunch as the main stop. Trying to fit every paid sight into one day leaves little time for the city itself.
Sunday: views or an indoor visit
Choose Letná for a hillside walk and bridge views, or a National Gallery venue if the weather is poor. Keep the afternoon lighter if you travel home later. Check luggage arrangements and the route to your station before committing to a timed ticket.
Find events for the actual weekend
Use the dates shown here in the official city calendar, then verify the event page. Markets, cruises and outdoor programmes can be seasonal or affected by weather. Reserve any essential meal or performance directly and keep a flexible alternative for each day.
Suggested stops
Hradčany
Pražský hrad
Give the castle district time. Courtyards, cathedral silhouettes and city views reward a slower pace; interiors have separate visiting conditions.

Malá Strana & Kampa
Take the small streets below the castle, then head to Kampa for a gentler riverside pause. A good counterpoint to the busiest squares.
MapLetná
Letenské sady
A hillside park for that layered view of Prague’s bridges. Expect an uphill walk; bring water and choose comfortable shoes.
